 
Qualifications and standards are a priority at our Nursery and you can read more about the qualifications our staff have in the Parent Information area of our web site. All staff have been trained in First Aid and are checked by the Criminal Records Bureau as part of our recruitment process. Our Nursery is regulated by the requirements of the National Standards for Daycare, which state there must be a minimum ratio of adults carers to each group of children. - With children of age 6 months -2 years there must be 1 adult to 3 children
- 2-3 years, 1 adult to 4 children
- 3-5 years, 1 adult to 8 children
In practise we often have higher numbers of adults to children than this statutory minimum.
2. Level 3 Nursery Officers
1. Katie Lea- Level 3 Nursery Officer
Before Katie worked at Bloxwich West Children's Centre she worked at a nursery in Aldridge for 3 years as their Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). Previous to this she worked as a Children's Representative for First Choice holidays in Tenerife!Katie works mostly in nursery but also helps organise play sessions and holiday play activites for the children's centre.

2. Carol Shaw- Level 3 Nursery Officer / Wrap Around Coordinator
Carol holds a B-Tec National Diploma in Nursery Nursing and Early Years Education. She started her career as a voluntary assistant in a local nursery and progreesed towards a permanent post whist working towards her qualifications.Carol helps coordinate our wrap around daycare and occasionally helps out in the centre nursery.

3. Charlotte Millington- Level 3 Nursery Officer
Charlotte has been at the children's centre since it officially opened and is responsible for the children in nursery.She also worked as Childrens' Representative for Thompson Holidays in Zante.

4. Zoe Cooper- Level 3 Nursery Officer / After School Club Coordinator
Zoe has studied childcare since leaving school and is qualified at Level 3. She worked at a school in Rushall as a Learning Support Officer before coming to Bloxwich West Children's Centre.As well as looking after the children in After School Club she is also a Learning Support Officer at Busill Jones School.

5. Jade Dean- Level 3 Nursery Officer
Jade works mostly in Nursery and leads Play sessions and Play Group at the centre. She is holds a Level 3 qualification in Early Years.

2. Karley Haynes- Level 2 Nursery Officer
Karley is also working towards her Level 3 qualification in Early Years. She currently works in Nursery.

Sam assists in After School Club and also works at Busill Jones as a Classroom Assistant.

4. Apprenticeship
1. Kayleigh Davenport- Advanced Modern Apprentice
Kayleigh works in Nursery whilst working towards her childcare qualifiactions. Her role is to support nursery staff in the day to day running of the nursery whilst gaining the necessary experience that she needs to complete her qualification.

5. Casual Nursery Workers
1. Donna Whistance- Casual Nursery Worker
Donna holds a Level 2 NVQ CCLD, she works regularly in nursery as a casual worker. Donna has a young family and enjoys the flexibility of working casual hours.

2. Stacy Taylor- Casual Nursery Worker
Stacey also works regularly in our nursery. The flexibilty allows Stacey to concentrate on her studies in childcare whilst gaining the necessary experience.

Matt works in the centre nursery and also helps out with After School Club and Holiday Activity Sessions.
